She really did like it but after the water got higher on Mama than Brookelynne liked, she didn't want to be down anymore. So Daddy walked in the water while holding her and she would laugh when it would get up to his knees. It was really sweet.

A little Vaca!
Well for those of you who know my husband well, you know that his idea of a 'vacation' is having 7 to 10 days off of work with absolutely nothing planned for any of them. And I mean NOTHING! This drives me crazy, but knowing how hard he works, I try to work with him as much as possible, and therefore, we have not gone anywhere since our honeymoon. And yes, that has been 3 1/2 years. Well I had officially had enough and had been promising my cousin Kelley that we would come visit her and see her home for over 2 years and *TADA* we finally did it! :)
We headed out Thursday night around midnight and drove the first leg of the trip during the night so that Brookelynne would sleep through it, and arrived in Columbus, Ga around 5 am. We went through Columbus because I have another cousin who lives there that we don't get to see often, and wanted to spend a few hours with them. So Nickie got up and let us in when we got there and we just enjoyed a few hours of catching up while the kids and Philip woke up and got ready for the day. After Parker went to school, Philip made breakfast for everyone (which was delicious) and then Mitch (our over night driver) took a nap (along with Emma). Then Mom, Nickie, Brookelynne and I headed out to see some of Columbus and visit some of the stores that we had heard so much about! There was a consignment store that we stopped at where Grandma (my mom) bought some bows for Brookelynne as well as a umbrella stroller (for only $8), a Christmas dress and a play outfit. She also bought a couple of bows for Emma too! We visited some other stores and had lunch at Ruby Tuesdays. Then we picked up Parker from school and headed back to the house.
Philip made us some sandwiches for the road (which were delicious) and we headed out around 4, just in time for Brookelynne to collapse into her only nap of the day! (just as we planned!). We drove for 5 hours (that only counted as 4 because of the time difference) and arrived around 8. It was a long drive, with more stops that we would have liked, but once we gave Brookelynne a 30 minute break and dinner, she was out again and the rest of the drive went by without incident! Aunt Betty and Uncle Alvin met us at the house (Everyone else was at the football game), where we unloaded the car and got ready for bed. Kelley, Glen, Becca and Lane got home around 9:30 and we stayed up for a little while talking with them, but we were worn out and in bed by 10:30 (11:30 our time!). Unfortunately Brookelynne didn't get the memo that we were in a different time zone or that she needed to sleep all night regardless of how many naps she had, because she woke up at 3. :( But we got her back to sleep pretty easily and made it until 5:45 before she woke for the day.
Saturday was a lot of fun, if for no other reason than that we spent it with everyone. We drove over to Aunt Betty and Uncle Alvin's property to see it, and it was very pretty. They bought 80 acres a few years ago and are working to get it cleared and such so that they can build a house and raise cattle on it. Uncle Alvin of course wanted to show us all of the property (a feat that requires a vehicle since unlike FL there are hills and hills and MORE hills!), so we loaded up in Kelley's chevy and my Mom rode with him in the little toyota truck. It was so sweet how much he enjoyed telling my mom about it. I love that they love each other so much and treat each other like siblings instead of cousins! Then we left Uncle Alvin and Lane to work while Aunt Betty, Kelley, Becca, Mom, Brookelynne, Mitch and I went to see the Amish and headed back to the house. The Amish community was very interesting with some of the homes and fields they had. We bought some peanut brittle and pickled okra from them (both of which were very good) and went to some of the homes that make furniture (all of which was very well made and some of which was very inventive, including a 'half picnic table' which literally looks like a picnic table cut in half, but you can also pull back the 'table top' and it makes a back for the bench- very cool!) Then we picked up McDonalds and headed back.
The ladies all headed to Walmart to pick up groceries and the Glen and Mitch headed over to Uncle Alvin's and spent some time over there while we settled back in at the house. We cooked dinner and the guys came home after which we watched a movie, picked out by Becca. She had seen it at a youth group thing and INSISTED that we see it. :) It was a very good movie, called "To Save A Life", that dealt with the way a young man handled the suicide of his childhood friend. Needless to say, this made for a late night! :) And Brookelynne, of course, was still unsure about this time change thing, and decided to wake up at 4. :(
Kelley made us pancakes for breakfast Sunday morning (a job that was supposed to belong to Rebecca, but she decided to sleep in!). We were going to go to church but then Kelley remembered that it was not at 11 like usual, so we wouldn't have made it. (They have 2 services at their church each week, but every 5th week they combine services so that they can keep the solidarity of the church. Since it was the 5th Sunday, they had a 10 am service instead of a 9 am and 11 am) Aunt Betty and Uncle Alvin stopped by to say goodbye again before they got on the road to head home. Then we proceeded to spend most of the day relaxing. We went to Walmart to get something for Lane and Aunt Frances decided to get Becca a shirt and buy the pellets for Lane, which made both of them pretty happy! lol. Shortly after getting back from Walmart, Becca started talking about getting her hair done and what she wanted to do to it. Well Kelley was not very confident about dyeing it at home because they've had orange and green issues in the past and she also was worried about getting the bottom too dark or the top too light. So we talked about it and Becca decided that she trusted me and her momma enough to dye her hair. We went back to Walmart (in the rain for the second time) and picked up dye in addition to several other things we had forgotten earlier!
When we got home we all loaded up in the trucks (guys in one and girls in the other) and went down to Davy Crockett Park, which is just down the road. We drove around behind the boys, and Glen and Lane were spotting deer and turkeys and pointing them out to us. They were able to do this because Glen had pulled out the walkie talkies and given one to Lane and one to Rebecca. This is notable because of how much Lane enjoyed bugging Becca on it, and how little patience Kelley had for this! haha (There is a good chance that those things will be 'lost' for a while! haha). Anyway, we saw several packs of deer and turkeys and then went through the visitors center. Inside the visitors center they had the stories of Davy Crockett with life size replicas of his home and some of the animals he was known for killing. One of those animals was a deer (big surprise), and I said "Brookelynne, do you see the deer?" and she said "Deer?" and then proceeded to repeat herself like 100 times! :) The 'r' wasn't very strong, but you could definitely tell that that was what she was trying to say! :) Then we went around to the creek and the boys pulled out their reels and started fishing, and we walked around and looked at the little waterfall and got our feet wet. Brooke LOVED seeing the water and really wanted to get in it, but when I let her feet touch the water (which was very cold to the touch) she didn't want to be in it anymore! lol. She wanted us to get in, and to hold her while we walked in, but she didn't want to actually touch it herself! haha.
When we got back home it was time to dye Becca's hair. She wanted the bottom half to be dark and the top to be blonde, but darker than it currently was. So, I went to work! lol Kelley helped a lot and Mom did a great job of distracting Brookelynne for me! haha It turned out very well and Becca loved it, so that made me happy. We had dinner and hung out for a few more hours before saying our goodbyes and getting to bed. I packed the car with as much as possible and set out everything so that we could get up and head out at 4.
When we got up and packed everything else, we started to leave and the car wouldn't start. And no, I'm not kidding! lol. We woke Glen and he came out and jumped us, and we were off. I drove the first stretch and we made it through Birmingham before rush hour. Brookelynne slept until about 8 and with another bottle was back out until almost 11. But she was in such a good mood that we were able to get all the way to Auburn before stopping for lunch (around 1). We ate at Cracker Barrel and then headed toward Tifton and down US 1. About an hour from home Brookelynne started screaming and freaking out. She was really upset to a point where I couldn't just let her sit there, so I pulled her out of her car seat and within a minute or so she was asleep in my arms, but Mitch refused to drive at all while she was out of her car seat, so I tried putting her back in it. She was freaking out all over again, so he got into the back with her to entertain her and I started driving. She would be happy and then scream, so we stopped again and changed her diaper. When Mitch opened up her diaper, her little butt was bleeding. :(. Poor baby girl! So we cleaned her up as best we could and put a really soft pair of pjs in her seat and let her ride the rest of the way without a diaper. Once we were home she went commando for a couple hours and then into the cloth diapers she went! (She loved the commando though, it was SOOO funny, because when she did go to the bathroom, she would look down between her legs like "What in the world is that?!?!?" lol)
Anyway, while it was a quick trip, we really did enjoy ourselves and loved our time in the mountains! :)
And don't worry about Brooke, we have it under control and her little bottom is almost back to 100%!

Mitch is on vacation.... (Part 2)
Well when I first posted about Mitch's vacation, I ended with Tuesday's events, so today I'll start with Wednesday and *try* to get through the rest of the week before the girls wake up from their nap! :)
Wednesday we got up and did some things around the house. We had Kalea for the whole day so we got a lot more done around here than I would have by myself! :) Still need to start the laundry but I'm really putting that one off! haha. At the end of the day, because I had to work at the church at 4:45 and Mitch wanted to hang out with Kris and his Dad, we took Kalea to her mom instead of waiting on Christina to drive up here and pick her up. So we dropped Kalea downtown around 3:50 and then I took Mitch out to Kris's house and Brooke and I turned around and came back to church. This leg of the trip was accompanied by Brooke's screaming because that's what she wanted to do! :( When we got to church we saw Grandma who decided to help me out by staying with us for at least a while to help w Brooke in the nursery. Since she's become very attached to me lately, I didn't know if I could handle her screaming every time I picked up another child, so we were going to see how it went. Well, Mom ended up staying the whole night! haha! We had about 10 kids though, so we definitely could use the help! After church was over, I went back over to the Wilson's home and hung out with Kris, Mitch and Mr James and ate the leftovers from their cook out! :)(Kris's first cook out on his new grill) When Mitch and I got home it was late, but we didn't mind!
Thursday we had Kalea for the whole day again and mostly stayed around the house. Kalea is/was cutting 3 teeth, so she had a fever all day. Every time she cuts a tooth she gets a fever of 104 or 105! And no, I'm not kidding! So she was back and forth all day between "I want to play" and "Hold me". :) Thursday night we went grocery shopping for some of the new deals at Publix and Winn Dixie. Then we went and had dinner with my Mom. It was a nice evening, but once again it was like 9:30 when we got home! And we had an early morning to get ready for!
Friday Mitch went fishing with Kris and his father in law, Steven. That meant that Mitch had to be over there by 7:15, but since Kalea isn't dropped off until 7:15, I had to drive him over to the westside, drop him off at 6:45 and hurry back home to be here for Christina and Kalea. Then as our fun thing, we had a pool play date! :)
We weren't sure if Kalea was going to be up for it, but she was a champ about it!

Even did great when we stopped at Walmart to buy floats! :) Heaven knows, these girls will not run out of floats! haha. After the play date, I went to my mom's and waited for Mitch to get done. He didn't get back until 7:30 or so and we were both exhausted! Too bad Brooke doesn't know to sleep in on Saturday, because she was definitely up at 6:15!
Mitch got the yard mowed on Saturday and we both tried to catch up on sleep by taking naps! :) Then we headed to the southside for some errands! We went to Babies R Us to get the bumper cusions for the table in our living room, and came across a great deal on baby food! 12 jars of organic stage 2 food for $2.50! Can we say crazy? Yeah it was! Anyway, then we went to Once Upon a Child and Bealls Outlet, where I got a new bathing suit and Brooke got a Jumperoo and Memorial Day/4th of July/Labor Day dress!
After that we went to the mall and got our watches re-sized and had dinner at the food court! :) It was a good time and we even put Brooke in one of those moveable car things they have for kids! She was so cute!
We of course had church Sunday Morning and it was the Memorial Day service, which is seriously one of my favorites every year! :) All the kids in my class were so cute in their red white and blue, including Brookelynne!

But I was concerned because at the end of Sunday School I had 9 kids and only 2 workers! But I really wanted to see the service since I had gotten stuck staying 5 out of the last 6 weeks, even though only 2 of those were my weeks. So Whitney was walking by when I was talking to Patty about the issue and volunteered to stay, which I so greatly appreciated! But I went back to the room just to tell Angela that if for any reason, it was getting too difficult to not hesitate to page me! Well, needless to say, she didn't! Even when they got 2 more kids, bringing their total to 11 kids, 3 adults. (a horrible ratio btw for 6-9 month old kids!) So I had come back a little early from the service to help with the preparation for going home (ie changing everyone's diapers, making sure ppl are fed, etc), and they were doing well! :) Although I'm pretty sure that Angela as well as the other volunteers will think twice before agreeing to volunteer again! lol.
After church we had lunch with my Dad and then went over to my mom's to drop Brooke off while we ran errands. :) When we made it home, Mitch was very tired so he took a nap. Then we got up and were going to go to dinner so we called our friends Kelly and Jeff and they came to Olive Garden with us! It was a good time for sure!
I'm going to stop there, because the girls are stirring, but will post about Memorial Day soon!

Mitch is on vacation.... (Part 1)
So for the past several days my wonderful husband has been on vacation. Doesn't that sound terrific? Yeah, you'd think so! lol, Just Kidding! Sorta...
While I love my hubby to death, going from spending 2 or 3 hours a day together to spending 200+ straight hours with him = *driving me crazy* haha.
But really, we've had a pretty good time so far! We kicked it off Friday night by going to see Robin Hood while my mom watched Brooke.
Saturday morning we had a reception for our darling daughter because she won a photo contest for her age category! :) There are 16 winners who each get $50 savings bond, and they draw a name for one of them to win a $3000 savings bond. Brooke didn't win this year, but I'm sure that she'll win for her age group again in the future so maybe she can pay for her college before kindergarten! haha After that we stopped by the UPS softball tournament and saw Uncle Josh and some others from the Jax Hub, and then had lunch with Grandma, Paw Paw and Uncle Josh before coming back home and cooling down!
Sunday was our usual coupon-crazy day, with us picking up our papers before church, hitting a Walgreens and then sorting the coupon inserts. Sunday school and church, followed by lunch (which was very low key because it was just Mom, Mitch, Brooke and me). Then we once again left Brooke with my mom (a new Sunday tradition) while Mitch and I went to 2 CVSs and 2 Walgreens to stock up on our free stuff (or money makers which we had this week! CVS was giving us $8 back when we spent $4 on 2 things of body wash...cha ching! lol) Then I went back to church and worked in the nursery.
Monday was pretty low key, just trying to get the house cleaned up and organized so that we could try to start leaving Tama out in the house...update on that a little later...
Tuesday we headed out of the house around 2, leaving Tama out in the house, and ran errands for several hours. Including going to Walgreens and getting over $100 worth of stuff (including printer ink and 2 packs of diapers) for all of $6! Even though the cashier tried to tell us that some of our coupons were fake! lol. I seriously did NOT feel bad about calling her manager over and getting it fixed, because she was just hating! haha. Then we had dinner at Whitey's Fish Camp with our sweet friends Kris and Marie and Kris's Dad and his girlfriend. It was such a good time! We really like Kris's dad a lot, and love getting to see him when he's in town! And he even bought our dinner which was so not necessary, but such a sweet thing for him to do! We didn't get home until after 10 and Tama had done WONDERFULLY!! No accidents, nothing torn up and she seemed happy, so we were very happy about that!
I will update about the second half of his vaca when its done! :) Happy Friday everyone!

Update on Mom!
Well, my mom's surgery was scheduled for June 2nd, but a couple of weeks ago she was having an attack that wouldn't go away so they moved her surgery up to the 13th. We went to Gainesville Wednesday night and were at the hospital by 10. They were supposed to have her in the back by 12, but they didn't call her back until 3. The surgery went well and the doctors came out to tell me so around 5:15. They said that her gallbladder was severely infected, discolored and misshapen. There were 4 or 5 stones and they had to open one of her incisions bigger because one of the stones was too big to fit out. She was in recovery for a couple of hours, but it took them an extra hour to get her in a room because of shift change.
Josh and Amy came down and got to her room just a few minutes after she did. We spent a couple of hours at the hospital and then went back to Josh's apartment for the night.
Friday Mom got discharged around 11 and we had lunch before heading home. She was back at work on Monday, just for half days but still. She's been doing great and recovering much faster than we expected. This week she's back to full time and says that she's 100%. She goes for her follow up on Friday, and we're expecting a great report! :)
Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone who said prayers for her and I'm sorry that it took me so long to post about it!

Mother's Day!
The footprint we did in Sunday School and the clay hand print, my mom and Brooke made for me!
My first Mothers Day where I could hold my baby girl has come and gone, and I'm glad to say that I felt very special! It started Saturday night, when we celebrated with Mitch's mom at TGIFridays. We've made a habit over the years of taking her out on Saturday night, because Sundays are so crunched for time. (Mitch has to be in bed by 4 so he can get up for work around midnight). That way we don't have to rush with either of our moms.
So we met up for dinner and had a very nice time with her and Zach (Mitch's Brother). We got to spend some time with them and of course, they got to play with Brookelynne! We gave her her present, which was a book I had made with pictures of her grandchildren, and she really liked it! Which made me happy because I put a lot of work into it! She then gave me a Mother's day present, which was a very cute necklace! :)
Sunday Morning we got up bright and early as always, and headed to church. I am teaching Brooke's Sunday School class through the summer, so I wasn't able to attend the Ladies Assembly, but they made sure I got one of the gifts (a book). I was excited about going to the service after Sunday School and it was looking like I would be able to! Unfortunately for me, but fortunately for them, we had even more babies come right before the service, so that we had 11 in my room! The ladies that were volunteering for that hour were more than capable, but none of them were familiar with more than one of the babies and I just couldn't leave them out to dry with so many babies! For the day we had 12, which you would agree is crazy if you could see my room! But I had made some papers the night before with a heart on them and a small thing that said "I love you". So during Sunday School, we put each child's name on them and 'fingerprinted' their foot prints for their Mommies!
After that we had lunch with my Mom, Josh and Amy. It was a very sweet time, because it is rare that it is just the six of us. Either one of us is missing or someone else is there and it was just nice to let Mitch and Amy get an idea of what it used to be like everyday while we were growing up. This was very special to me too, because not only had Mitch and Brookelynne gotten me something, but my mom and Josh and Amy had too! How thoughtful! Josh and Amy bought me a really cute blanket that comes in a matching bag! (its in the washing machine, so picture will have to come later!) Its going to be awesome for play dates and beach days! Josh also gave me a sweet card telling me that he can see that I am and knows I will be a great mom! *Yes, I teared up a little, such a sweet little brother I have!* Then Mom gave me a picture frame that was really pretty and is going to look great in the living room! I can't wait to get pictures in it! She also gave me something from Brooke! She had done a clay hand print of Brookelynne sometime before and gave it to me. It was so cute! I can't believe a hand that small can hold my heart like it does!
Then my wonderful husband gave me a beautiful watch!
I love it! I haven't had a working wrist watch in years and I'm so excited to have one again! Now if I could only get back into the habit of looking at my wrist instead of pulling out my cell phone! But the real gift that my sweetie gave me was a very sweet card from my daughter! He swears that this is what Brookelynne told him to write, but I know he had something to do with it...

Before we left, I also got my gift from my sweet sister and her kids. Abbi and Davis had painted a flower pot and planted some flowers in it for me!
How cute! And Amy had also cooked me a cobbler, which was so sweet of her! (From handpicked blackberries, I might add!)
I am so blessed to have a wonderful Mom and a sweet Mother in law, and even more blessed to be a mother myself. I wouldn't trade Brookelynne for the world! Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there!

Tye Dye Day!
Yesterday "Aunt" Sasha came up to spend the day with Brookelynne and me! We had such a great time! We hung out for a while and then went to Michaels and bought the stuff to tye dye shirts for the ALS walk. After picking up Chic Fil A for lunch we came back to the house and got to work!
We had to spin the shirts and bind them with rubber bands...
Then we added the color and let it sit over night. It was a really easy process, but of course, we took like 5 tries to get one shirt twisted and the rubber bands on it!
Today I rinsed them out, washed and dried them and this is how they look! Pretty cool, huh?

Happy Easter
Today was Easter Sunday, a day to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Without our Savior's resurrection we would be hopeless and condemned to an eternity in Hell. I am so thankful for the opportunity to know Christ as my Savior and to teach my Brookelynne about Him from day one. I worked in the nursery this morning for the Sunday School hour and then went to the service with my wonderful husband, mom, brother and brother's girlfriend (Amy).

Brookelynne got her ears pierced...
Thursday night Brookelynne got her ears pierced! I went over to Regency to get something at Hobby Lobby, and Josh and Mom met me for dinner. We had a very nice time catching up and then went to Bealls. When we left Bealls I called Jeanna, so that she could come up to the mall with us and headed to Claire's.
When I got there, he was piercing two other little girls' ears. (Twin girls who were 7 days younger than Brooke). I really didn't like hearing those other little girls crying but sucked it up and still did it. I was going to let my mom hold Brooke, but then realized that I needed to be the one to do it, so I traded with her.
She was fine until I had to hold her still so that he could mark her ears. She. Hated. It. A Lot! :) She was crying for almost 5 minutes before he even got close to piercing her ears, but believe me, I knew exactly when he did it because her whole little body tensed up and I got a big scream. She was SOOOO sad!
I gave her to my mom and mother in law to console her while I paid and got follow up instructions. We just have to put the solution on her ears 3 times a day and twist them several times. (Which she's had no problem with, doesn't even seem to notice I'm cleaning/twisting them!) They got her calmed down but when I walked over to her and she saw me she started screaming again... :( Anywho, it was fine and she's doing great now. Soooo cute too! :)

Mom's Doctor's Appointment
Yesterday we went to Shands Gainesville for Mom's lung transplant appointment! It went really well. We got down there at 7:45 and they had to re-draw Mom's blood because of a confusion in Jax. We went upstairs and they were really backed up. We checked in and went downstairs for her xray, which looked good. Then we waited almost 2 hours before we got to see anyone. Jennifer was the coordinator that came in to go over Mom's meds and she was really nice. Then we saw Dr Akndinae [A-kin-de-na], whom I had never met before. He was really nice and took seriously the issue with Mom's gallbladder. He got us in for another ultrasound and while it took another hour for them to get that done, we did have it done, so that they can get us in with the General Surgeon and HOPEFULLY set up a time to get it taken out on a non-emergency basis.
We went over to Aunt Doris's house and got to spend some time with her, and several of my cousins. Before we left we got to see Carla, Danielle, Cameron, Courtney and Courtney's boyfriend Adam. We laughed our butts off! It was so much fun, they crack me up! :)

Reminiscing...
When was the last time that you took a few moments and thought about your life? I have always been an analytical person, constantly considering and analyzing what is happening in my life, what it changes, where it's going and what that will mean for my future. There's a song out by Trace Adkins, called "You're gonna miss this", which is the inspiration for this post. While I love my life and wouldn't change it for the world, there are a few things I miss...
1 That sick-at-your-stomach,-miss-him-so-much,-have-to-see-him-right-this-second-feeling, that you have in the beginning of a relationship. While I love Mitch to death, I see him often enough that I rarely get that anymore. lol, Anytime he is on a business trip I get a refresher though! hehe
2. My mustang...She was sooo pretty! lol (this was the day after I got her)
Just today I was remembering the time I went toilet papering with some friends on Halloween, and a few months later came out of my house to head to school, just to find my car COVERED in toilet paper. Not the house, not the yard, not Josh's truck, but my mustang, practically white from all the toilet paper. Needless to say I was late for school!
3. Having a need to go to Lakeland on a regular basis...
Both of my mom's parents are buried in Lakeland and that city will always have a special place in my heart because of the wonderful memories that I have with my grandparents and extended family.
Growing up, we went to Lakeland often, and even after my Grandma passed away, still made it down there every 6 to 9 months for several years. (mainly for the funerals of my Grandpa's siblings) But at least it meant seeing my cousins, putting flowers on my Grandparent's graves and driving my Fields Rd. Now I look for any reason to go down there, just last weekend Mom told me that one of her cousins had called Friday because there was a reunion Saturday and they just found Mom's number. It was too late to go by the time she mentioned it, but I was really depressed about it for the rest of the day, its been over a year since we were down there and I don't have any idea when we'll go back...
4. Cheerleading... I know it sounds silly, but I LOVED being a cheerleader. I loved the practicing, I loved the games, I loved the competition, I loved it all! No doubt Brooke will at least try it and maybe I'll be able to see her come love it too.
4b. A tangent off of Cheerleading is how I miss knowing high school football players! lol I spent 6 falls going to a high school football game every Friday night, and its just not as much fun when you don't know any of the players. I miss cheering on my classmates or my brother!

5. The Westside! While I love having my own home and our house and yard is wonderful, I miss the westside so much!! If only Mitch could be transferred back to Jax, I could return to the BEST side of town! lol

My senior year of high school, just as soon as I turned 18, I started going line dancing every Friday night with a group from church. There would be anywhere from 4 to 20 ppl from church and we'd hang out and dance and have a great time. Now that I'm an "old married woman" I don't have anyone who will go with me! (Mitch is sooo not a line dancer! haha)
7. My short hair! I had short hair from 7th grade until the 2006. I had begun to grow it out before I started dating Mitch and then kept it long for one reason or another ever since then. I think about cutting it again all the time but I don't have the guts! Besides, what would I do when I need it out of my face, I look down a lot these days! haha.

8. After-Thanksgiving-Day-Shopping with my mom, aunt and cousins...Some years we even ran into more family! (Laura, Me, Mom, Kelley, Aunt Betty, Aunt Gail and Aunt Linda, and the girls in the front are Becca and Hannah!)
After my cousin Kelley moved to Tennessee, they're family started having Thanksgiving up there and Mitch and I can't go because he has to work on the day after Thanksgiving! :(
9. My girl-friends! In middle school and high school (church) Amy and I were attached at the hip! lol Now that we're all grown up and married, I never get to see her anymore!

And for my junior and senior year, Starr and I were blond and brunette versions of each other! lol We went everywhere together, finished each other's sentences, spoke in code and matched everything from our shirts to our cars!
She passed away last year, and while I'll always have my Brookelynne Starr, I'll always miss my Melody Starr!
And last is my Sasha! We met on the bus in 6th grade and she's always been there when I needed her!
Now that we're both married, we try to get together as often as possible, Wasn't she such a beautiful bride?
I'm sure there are more, but I need to make dinner, lol. I'll leave you with this last thought...

After my cousin Kelley moved to Tennessee, they're family started having Thanksgiving up there and Mitch and I can't go because he has to work on the day after Thanksgiving! :(
9. My girl-friends! In middle school and high school (church) Amy and I were attached at the hip! lol Now that we're all grown up and married, I never get to see her anymore!

And in Mexico right before preforming...
And for my junior and senior year, Starr and I were blond and brunette versions of each other! lol We went everywhere together, finished each other's sentences, spoke in code and matched everything from our shirts to our cars!
She passed away last year, and while I'll always have my Brookelynne Starr, I'll always miss my Melody Starr!
And last is my Sasha! We met on the bus in 6th grade and she's always been there when I needed her!
Now that we're both married, we try to get together as often as possible, Wasn't she such a beautiful bride?
I'm sure there are more, but I need to make dinner, lol. I'll leave you with this last thought...

3 years, going strong....
This past week Mitch and I celebrated our 3 Valentine's day together and our 3rd Anniversary! Mitchell brought me some beautiful roses and an adorable teddy bear! It was so funny, because my teddy bear is holding a strawberry, so I was hugging it and was like "Oh my goodness, it even smells like a strawberry!" and Mitch was like "No it doesn't!" and so we both smelled it, and it did! :) haha.
Here they are! Aren't they beautiful!
Friday night we spent our first night away from our beautiful Brookelynne. Mitch used his connections to get us a free night at a amazing hotel on Jekyll Island! It was at Oceanside Inn and Suites and we had a room with a king size bed, jacuzzi, 2 flat screen tvs, and a private balcony, all about 100 yards from the ocean! It was so great, and we had a wonderful time, having dinner on St Simons and then spending the night on Jekyll! Brookelynne spent the night at Grandma's house, and Paw Paw and Grandma had a great time with her!
Saturday we picked her up and had lunch, and then headed to Publix, but on the way I accomplished the feat of dumping an entire drink in my lap!!! haha Needless to say, we came home instead!

Feburary has arrived!
Well so much has happened in the last two weeks that we have not had any free time! Since the night spent in the ER, my mom's pain has been tolerable. She's watching what she eats and it still hurts her on a regular basis but there's nothing we can do about it until they get her in to see the general surgeon.
In the mean time, we have been busy busy busy with Pastor's Conference at our church!! It started last Friday, and I volunteered all day (From 9-7) at the registration desk. It was a great time and I got to know some sweet people! Saturday we went to see Mitch's mom and enjoyed spending some time on that side of town. Sunday I worked in the nursery all morning, and then we had Mom's anniversary lunch because Monday was 13 years since her lung transplant!! Isn't that amazing? God is so good, the doctors said she'd only live another 3 to 5 years and here we are at 13 still going strong!! :) I am so grateful for that!
Sunday night I went back and got to hear Dr Ergan Caner speak! He's so great and I love listening to him! Monday and Tuesday I worked some long hours, in the nursery from 8:15 to 11:45, doing the Apples of Gold seminars from noon to 3:30 and then back in the nursery at 6:15 to 9:45! They were two very long hard days, but it was great to help w pastors conference!
Wednesday I met up with Jeanna and Zach for lunch and had a good time visiting with them before going to Jump N Jax with Mom. (Its a consignment sale that is twice a year!) We had a great time and got some of the CUTEST things!!
Thursday was my husband's birthday!! Yay!! He turned 30, and I have to say he's the best looking 30 year old I've ever seen!! :)
