Brooke's first offical pool day, and I forgot my camera!
Today we had a play date with some friends at the pool! I can't believe it but I forgot my camera! UH! Anyway, Brookelynne LOVED IT! I got in with her because I want her to be as comfortable as possible as soon as possible! We eased in, since the water was COLD, and it didn't even seem to phase her! She was laughing and splashing the whole time! As we walked around, I would lean back with her on my chest and she was so funny, kicking the whole time and throwing herself face first into the water. She succeeded a few times and would yank her face back and start blowing the water out of her mouth, and then go right back to playing! I would have her straddle my knee, facing me, so that I could see her, holding her under her arms, and she would kick soooo hard that she would scoot herself off my leg! lol. It was so cute and we had a great time! I'm so glad that she likes the water! Maybe we can have her almost swimming by the end of the summer! :)

Growing so fast...
Tonight my baby girl did something that I didn't expect! :) We got home from Mom 2 Mom and were sitting on the couch. My dad had left her car seat on the couch when he took her out of it, so it was next to her, sitting partially in front, partially to her left and out of NO WHERE started grabbing it, and pulled herself up to standing! :) She didn't stay there long, as she tipped onto her side, but it was sooooo cool!
I took her off the couch and grabbed a stool and sat it in front of her. She grabbed and pulled, but never got up to her feet! :( She was trying, but somehow, being on the hard floor made it harder for her to get her feet underneath her!
Anyway, it was really awesome and I can't believe how big she's getting! It goes sooo fast!

Collin's Birthday Party!
Our sweet friends, Julie and Son, have a sweet son, Collin, who turned one on Friday! So we had Brookelynne's first birthday party to go to today! Julie did a wonderful job of decorating and setting up and we had a great time! We ate first, while the little ones played! This is Maxwell,Dallas, Brookelynne and Clara playing together...
Then we had some awesome pool time! Julie set up a baby pool, but most of the babies were not very happy with it! They all cried either as soon as the got in the pool or after they got splashed a little, except Brookelynne!
My sweet girl didn't flinch when Lilo splashed her, she even joined in. And when she fell forward, into the water, we sat her up quickly and said "Good Job!!" and she just laughed!
When we got her out of the pool, we wrapped her in her bathrobe, which looked ADORABLE on her!
And got dressed for a wagon ride in Collin's new wagon! Clara and Dallas were headed out for a ride, but they just really wanted Brooke to join them, so we sat her down in the middle! :)
And sweet baby Dallas, who can apparently fall asleep ANYWHERE, was tired enough to pass out while in the wagon!
Before we headed home, the Birthday Boy played in his cake! :) Such a cutie! Happy Birthday Collin! Thank you for having us at your party! :)

Tye Dye Day!
Yesterday "Aunt" Sasha came up to spend the day with Brookelynne and me! We had such a great time! We hung out for a while and then went to Michaels and bought the stuff to tye dye shirts for the ALS walk. After picking up Chic Fil A for lunch we came back to the house and got to work!
We had to spin the shirts and bind them with rubber bands...
Then we added the color and let it sit over night. It was a really easy process, but of course, we took like 5 tries to get one shirt twisted and the rubber bands on it!
Today I rinsed them out, washed and dried them and this is how they look! Pretty cool, huh?

Brookelynne is 6 Months Old!
Well it is very hard to believe, but my little Brookelynne has been here for half a year already! Every day I thank the Lord again for sending me such a sweet little angel to take care of for Him. I know she's just a loaner, but she's a great one! :)
We'll go ahead and start once again with her stats from her 6 month check up... They are as follows: (hehe)
Height/Length: 26.5 inches
Weight: 16 lbs 9 oz
Head Circumference: 44 cm
On the Chart: She's at the 75th percentile for height and between 50th and 75th for weight!
We saw Dr Kim when we were there and she couldn't get over how great of a baby she was! I had run into her last week and she had said some of that then too, but at the appt, Mitch was holding Brooke and before she even started examining her, Brooke had done all the things that she was going to ask us if she could do (like sitting up by herself, transferring things from one hand to the other, etc). So that was great! She also showed Dr Kim how she sits up and Kim couldn't get over how well she did that! (She said she'd never seen a baby learn to sit up that way first, before that they usually push up from their belly/side, not sit up like they are doing'sit-ups'! lol)
But she checked out great and really didn't cry except when they gave her her shots. She did take a liking to the wooden stick and Kim's stethoscope. She was so cute playing with them! :)
Now, here is a run-down of some Brookelynne Facts for 6 months!
~ We have officially started Stage II foods (which is basically stage I foods, except thicker and mixes, like apple blueberry instead of just apples!)
~ She is wearing 6 or 9 month clothes. Some of her 6 mo are already too small, but some of her 9 mo are too big, so we're going back and forth! I just keep a box in her closet so when something is tight or getting to small, I throw it in there to keep from cluttering up the drawers!
~ She is in size 2 toddler shoes, and they are soo cute!
~ We have begun the sippy-cup-training. :) She basically just spills it all over her at this point, but she's trying!
~ She has begun to jump! This has just happened in the last week or so, but now she's doing it all the time. We've gotten her Jenny Jump Up out the last two days and she actually jumps in it instead of standing around in it! haha
~ She's also starting what I think are the beginnings of crawling. :) For the longest time I haven't thought she'd do it, but just in the past 6 to 10 days she's started turning herself over to her stomach and trying to scoot!
~ She has discovered stuffed animals and thinks they ROCK! :) She's had them in her crib and room since she was born, but about 3 weeks ago started really noticing, grabbing at and laughing at them!
~ She doesn't mind her hats! We've begun putting the little summery hats on her that go with her outfits, and at first she would pull them off, but for the most part she leaves them on!
~ She LOVES her little toys. Any rattle, teether, or the like that is small enough for her to hold, she loves!
~ She's begun mocking you! Especially hand motions, but sometime other things too! It's SOOO cute!
That's all that I can think of right now! :) It's hard to believe that she's getting so big so fast! Every time I look at her she looks more like a person/adult and less like a baby! :( But there is a season for everything and I'm loving every one so far! :)

Happy Easter
Today was Easter Sunday, a day to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Without our Savior's resurrection we would be hopeless and condemned to an eternity in Hell. I am so thankful for the opportunity to know Christ as my Savior and to teach my Brookelynne about Him from day one. I worked in the nursery this morning for the Sunday School hour and then went to the service with my wonderful husband, mom, brother and brother's girlfriend (Amy).
This is Brooke in the swing at Sunday School!
After church we went to my mom's house for lunch. She had prepared a wonderful Easter feast that we really enjoyed. Here are a few pics from our day, Brookelynne's first Easter!
